Francisca Kwamboka Foundation was established in memory of our family matriarch, Francisca Kwamboka. She was a great community leader who was involved in mostly assisting the vulnerable women and supporting education of orphans and vulnerable children. Francisca Kwamboka Foundation therefore endeavours to carry on with the vision and mission that she had in reaching out to vulnerable women and youth in the community.
Our matriarch succumbed to diabetic complications and through her sickness journey it occurred to us that diabetes and information on care and prevention is very minimal in our communities. The stigma attached to when a patient has to lose one or both of their limbs to a disease and when she succumbed as a family, we decided to embark on advocacy awareness of diabetes in our community.
